Numerical Simulation of Traditional and Technological Zinc‐Based Coatings: Part I

نویسندگان

چکیده

Herein, the bending behavior of a hot-rolled hyper-sandelin steel subjected to hot-dip galvanizing (HDG) is numerically simulated. Two coating types are analyzed, that is, pure zinc and zinc-based with 3% Sn addition by weight. It experimentally observed tin influences thickness each intermetallic phase increases ductility phases. Therefore, key numerical simulation assume suitable constitutive laws layers, considering only few mechanical parameters available in literature. Such an approach has shown quite satisfactory results it can be promising as tool used HDG industry, being simple but accurate estimate flexural strength damage Zn-based coated steels.

Comments on ‘‘A Multiscale Numerical Study of Hurricane Andrew (1992). Part I: Explicit Simulation and Verification’’

In their paper ‘‘A multiscale numerical study of Hurricane Andrew (1992). Part I: Explicit simulation and verification,’’ Liu et al. (1997, hereafter referred to as LZY) present an impressive simulation of a mature tropical cyclone initialized with environmental data and operational model analyses obtained during Hurricane Andrew. The simulated tropical cyclone makes landfall near Palm Beach, F...

A Multiscale Numerical Study of Hurricane Andrew (1992). Part I: Explicit Simulation and Verification

In this study, the inner-core structures of Hurricane Andrew (1992) are explicitly simulated using an improved version of the Penn State–NCAR nonhydrostatic, two-way interactive, movable, triply nested grid mesoscale model (MM5). A modified Betts–Miller cumulus parameterization scheme and an explicit microphysics scheme were used simultaneously to simulate the evolution of the larger-scale flow...

Balanced and Unbalanced Circulations in a Primitive Equation Simulation of a Midlatitude MCC. Part I: The Numerical Simulation

A midlatitude mesoscale convective complex (MCC), which occurred over the central United States on 23– 24 June 1985, was simulated using the Regional Atmospheric Modeling System (RAMS). The multiply nestedgrid simulation agreed reasonably well with surface, upper-air, and satellite observations and ground-based radar plots. The simulated MCC had a typical structure consisting of a leading line ...

Numerical Modeling of Silicon Photodiodes for High-Accuracy Applications Part I. Simulation Programs

The suitability of the semiconductor-device modeling program PC-1D for high-accuracy simulation of silicon photodiodes is discussed. A set of user interface programs optimized to support high-accuracy batch-mode operation of PC-1D for modeling the internal quantum efficiency of photodiodes is also described. The optimization includes correction for the dark current under reverse- and forward-bi...
